NuORDER Enables Credit Card Payment Processing

Process Credit Card Payments with NuORDER

The game has changed: you can now process payments directly through NuORDER.

Does the following scenario sound familiar?

It’s the end of the month, and you’re trying to hit your quota. You finally get a confirmation from that account you were hoping would come through on their reorder. One problem: that confirmation doesn’t apply until the order ships.

If you’re like Meg Muirhead from Iron and Resin, you’ve experienced the next sequence of events:

“Before we started using NuORDER’s Payment Processing feature, charging a credit card was a multi-step process, from saving the invoice to attaching it to an email to sending it to accounting. Then, there was the trouble of getting the credit card info and authorization.”

Meg continues:

“Once all of that is completed, we’d then have to wait to hear back that the payment has been made before we could let the warehouse know it’s okay to ship. In the meantime, the shipment may or may not ship until days later.”

Things seem to have gotten much easier for Meg:

“Now, all we have to do is run the card through NuORDER and send the shipment out.”

Meg says the Payment Processing feature is also beneficial for buyers:

“It makes our lives on the brand side much easier. But, it’s also beneficial for the buyers because they receive their shipments more quickly. Everything is quicker because the credit card info is already on file — we don’t have to reach out to them — so it takes away all of those extra steps.”

We’re excited to partner with WePay, as Meg says:

“Buyer adoption has been really good. Setting it up is so easy. Anyone can do it in a few minutes.”

How NuORDER’s Payment Processing works

It’s so simple it seems silly to type out the steps:

  1. Enter the credit card info into NuORDER
  2. Charge the card at the time of the order or later when you ship (you can also accept partial and multiple payments)
  3. Receive the money in your bank account

Setting up WePay

1. Go to Admin and choose Set Up Payment Processing:

2. Set up WePay. This person is usually someone in accounting and would have information such as your company EIN number. This person does not have to be a NuORDER user.

How to submit an Order with Payment Processing

With Payment Processing set up, submitting an order is not much different than before you set it up.

  1. From the Admin page, click into Wholesale.
  2. Select the Linesheets tab followed by Working Order.
  3. Fill out Company, Buyer and Sales Rep as you normally would.
  4. Enter sizes and quantities in the Items and Deliveries tab.
  5. Submit your order by clicking Next, which will take you to the Checkout section.
  6. You’ll see three options to check: Charge Now, Charge Later or Do Not Enter Credit Card.

Let’s say you want do not want enter to the credit card information at the moment, so you choose Do Not Enter Credit Card. You still need to click Authorize, then you can click Submit Order and OK in the pop-out box.

Charging the card at a later time

At a later time, you may want to charge a card for the order. To do this, you click into the Orders tab and choose Pending in the left column (see image below).

You’ll notice a dollar sign to the right of the Pending Orders (see image below). When you click on the dollar sign, a Payment box appears. Here, you will see the Order Subtotal and a line to enter the shipping cost, which will automatically be added to the Total.

Below the total, there’s a line stating Amount to Pay Today. Enter the amount you currently want to charge to the card. This amount will automatically be deducted from the remaining balance.

Next, you’ll be prompted to enter the payment information, to authorize the payment amount and to submit the payment.

Other cool things brands can do:

  • Add shipping charges
  • Take partial and multiple payments per order
  • Receive payment transaction info via CSV report

Buyers can also place orders and submit payments on their own.

Running credit card payment reports

Go to Admin, and scroll down to click on Payment History:

You’ll then be asked to choose a date range for the report to cover. Just click Export and you’ll receive the CSV document with the transaction details in your email.

What’s next?

All that’s left to do is to check your bank account!
